I got fed up when I heard 74 is out in Japan so I went to another scanlation team. I may stick with them from now on because they don't get our hopes us and then fail.
 

i appreciate the time you spend doing this...but man, 74 is so close and you still havent released 73.
I can try to help you two with the translations if you need to (cos i can read japanese) but jesus get your act together.
I dont wanna come off as ungrateful, cos its thanks to you two that i dont have to give myself headaches reading RAW FMA, but seriously, sit down and get some work done.
Or at least direct me to the RAW so i can read it myself. No doubt I'd finish that and the RAW for 74 before you get the scanlated 73 out.

I think everyone who bitches about the scanlations not getting done is stupid. There are other groups that do FMA. Read their versions if you need it quickly.
As for me, I will take my time and wait for ZOMGFTA, because your translations and typesettings are usually better and the omakes kick arse.

If you've followed scanlations/fansubs for awhile, you'll know that having one group handle an entire long series is rare. They begin at a time of life when there is alot of free time (like college) but inevitably real life gets in the way, releases fall behind, and eventually the difficult decision to stop has to be made. After all, manga/anime shouldn't be a high priority. I've seen this many times. Personally, I prefer to reduce hard feelings and thank the people for the time they have given us, rather than be upset about having to find a new scanlator. Otherwise these good people may push themselves for too long and end with bitter feelings.
This is one of the best scanlations teams I've seen. I don't want it to go. I've sent money to express my support. But it seems it's becoming troublesome for the team lately. If they need to stop or take a break I will support them.
For a good series, there will always be a new scanlator. The longest running series have seen up to a dozen. That's reality.

Well, I guess I could understand the anger if ZOMGFTA were the only people translating Fullmetal Alchemist. But seriously angry people, just go get the manga from another site, then come back here and laugh to yourselves at the people who wait patiently.

These two just translate Fullmetal because they enjoy the manga. Both do what they can, and it seems this month they have choosen sleep and sanity over getting out the translation. So fine, whatever.

Besides, it doesn't really matter how late ZOMG is. Fullmetal Alchemist chapters won't come out any faster or slower either way. You're not missing out on anything if you first read a chapter three weeks after it comes out.

Anyway, to ZOMGFTA, thanks for the quality scanlations of FMA(and others), love the omakes and such. And speaking of other manga, how are the other series coming? Like Juushin Enbu? I guess since FMA isn't out, probably not so good, but an update to the progress would be much appreciated. Thanks for the translations, ZOMGFTA rule!

You might not realize it, but it's a lot of work to scanlate manga, especially when each chapter is forty pages long! It's amazing that they get it out as fast as they do and these guys are probably the best scanlators I've seen!

Hey guys, I have a brilliant idea. If you dislike waiting for them to scanlate the chapters, you can take one of two options:
1) Go to another site and stop spamming up the comment board with hate comments.

or...

2) Wait for VIZ to release the chapter in their translation and see which one is a longer wait.

Personally, I'm in favour of waiting for them to scanlate it and I don't mind if they take their sweet time with it. People have lives and they can't always do stuff that they enjoy. Don't make this feel like a chore for them, because it's not fun doing stuff because you have to.
 

The RAW for 74 is out! Hopefully this will stop people complaining (but more likely it will just increase it). Anyway have a Happy Birthday and we'll be looking forward to both chapters when they get done.

I've been on it, although I was lucky. Went to the park for a club trip and pretty much no one except for the club was there. Only had to wait about 15 minutes each time instead of the normal 2 hour wait. That was pretty cool

Yes, you too would be forced to toil away in the underground sugar mines, fighting off demon elves and exhaustion, working for pennies a day, just to be able to buy a single panel of an FMA manga, while our superior overlords give permission to those lucky few to commit suicide by leaping from bridges, in order to escape the hell they find themselves trapped in.

Many times I have heard people claim they have the right to complain because its their freedom, and some I can understand (though its terribly annoying.)

We went to Six Flags America; I haven't been to Great Adventure since my eleventh birthday (I'm an amusement park freak and always go to one for my birthday). Honestly, I have a long-standing grudge against the entire state of New Jersey (I'd rather not go into that) so I'm not sure I'll ever be back to Great Adventure. I absolutely adore America, anyway. I've gone there for my birthday ever since probably my fifteenth birthday (the only exceptions being my eighteenth, when I went to Hershey Park, and my twentieth, when I actually did not go to an amusement park and went to the Franklin Institute instead.)

I usually make a note of not worshiping false idols (only Canadaian ones), as it would greatly anger mother turtle the greater creator. However, for the sake of freeing the manga I will forgo my morals and obligations of sarifice to our great being and wish you a Happy Birthday.

And can someone get ramza a ruler or something. Last time I checked 13 stories wasn't that big. I mean I know those Harry Potter books can get big but a building the size of thirteen of them, surely cannot compare in size to the sturctural art that is the bridge.

Goodness, I don't think I have ever seen someone be so malicious and silly at the same time. The 'Free the Hostage Manga!' was never funny, however, so you should choose a new line...perhaps a nice one (feel free to add things about bunnies) instead of complaining. Funny or not, complaints have gotten unbelievably old.

But then, you are being silly about it...I guess as long as you are not demanding them to sacrifice normal livelihood in order to spoon feed you manga, everything should be fine.

Be as silly as you want, but don't cross the line of being a toddler who hasn't gotten what he wanted for nth time.

Well... gotta say that the scanlations are already widely available for those who can't shut up. And if they took more time looking for them, or at least reading the comments before posting to add to the mess, they'd find them. I've already got one and read it, but anyway I always wait for ZOMGFTA's scanlation and this is the one I keep, because it's always really well done, plus the girls read the series and know the real names, and all that. Keep it up^^
